Our classes begin with a moment of checking-in: sharing how many weeks you are and how you feel today. Expecting mamas share questions, concerns or happy milestones. This community is such a special element of our prenatal yoga practice. It's a space to feel safe, supported and heard.
Next, we'll move through a mindful and modified yoga practice together, tailored specifically to the changes and demands of pregnancy. Prenatal yoga helps you establish a greater sense of trust in your body and it's capabilities. We'll practice focused breathing exercises, yoga postures and relaxation techniques that can support you during labor. The connection of body and breath can be a very powerful tool.
Abdominal exercises synchronized with pelvic floor toning is an essential practice for pregnant, birthing and postpartum mamas. Feel empowered within your body as you maintain this powerhouse set of muscles. Yes, you can do abs! Safely. I'll show you how.
Prenatal yoga classes conclude with some delicious stretches, focusing on the hips and low back. Then you'll enjoy a final relaxation supported by the bolster and blanket as you drift off for a few minutes of much deserved rest.

Oh, the season of postpartum, it really is the full spectrum of emotions. You've grown a baby, birthed a baby and are now learning how to nurture and care for this baby. It’s beautifully messy and, in a word, demanding. I want you to remember that you deserve care too. While most of the appointments and scales are monitoring how your gorgeous baby is doing, this postpartum workshop is an opportunity to tune in and share how YOU are doing.
We begin with holding space for each mama to share her birth experience and/or how postpartum has been going for her. Breastfeeding, sleep arrangements, postpartum depression/anxiety and older sibling dynamics are often discussed as well.
Abdominal exercises and pelvic floor toning is a key focus of this workshop. Low back pain / abdominal separation / a weak pelvic floor are not just your “new normal” because you had a baby. We’ll move through exercises that you can practice daily to help you feel empowered with a properly functioning body.
The postpartum workshop will cover intentional exercises you can move through with or without baby to gradually regain strength. We’ll discuss time management and share strategies on how to make exercise fit into your day – with kiddos!
I’ll remind you of how much you’re already doing and that gentleness and patience are a big part of the journey. There is no time line. You’ll enjoy this season much more if you let go of expectations you have for your physical shape and just focus on taking care of you, embracing a little acceptance along the way.
